Strides Pharma Science has revealed its plans to acquire the final stake in Strides Global Consumer Healthcare, UK.

Strides Arcolab International (SAIL UK), a subsidiary solely owned by Strides Pharma Science in the UK, intends to acquire the remaining stake in Strides Global Consumer Healthcare (Consumer UK) from the current investor. As an intellectual property holding entity, Consumer UK is involved in selling and distributing pharmaceutical and over-the-counter consumer healthcare products through its subsidiaries in both the US and India. 

Currently, SAIL UK owns a 19% stake in Consumer UK, with a carrying value of NIL on its balance sheet as of March 31, 2024. The acquisition will involve purchasing the outstanding 81% stake from the existing investor for the nominal amount of GBP One. The Strides Group has recognized this business opportunity and aims to bolster its portfolio with consumer healthcare brands that possess strong market recognition. By leveraging its established relationships with wholesalers in the US and other regions, Strides plans to grow this business in various markets, including the US, UK, and MENA.
