Suvoda Broadens Its Clinical Trial Offerings with the Launch of ePatient

Suvoda LLC, a global leader in clinical trial technology specializing in complex therapeutic areas such as oncology, central nervous system (CNS) disorders, and rare diseases, has announced the early adopter launch of its ePatient product. This innovative solution aims to simplify the clinical trial experience for patients by addressing challenges related to stipend and reimbursement payments, as well as appointment management.

ePatient is designed to enhance patient engagement by consolidating payments, appointment scheduling, reminders, and eCOA (electronic Clinical Outcome Assessment) questionnaires into a single, user-friendly mobile platform. Its intuitive interface, known for Suvoda’s signature simplicity, integrates seamlessly with the company’s existing IRT (Interactive Response Technology) and eConsent systems, offering a cohesive experience for both site users and patients. Through single sign-on functionality, users can navigate effortlessly across all Suvoda products.

“We have created a solution that not only improves operational efficiency for all stakeholders but also significantly improves the patient experience.,” quoted Elizabeth Morris, Senior Product Manager at Suvoda.

Suvoda ePatient is expected to deliver four core benefits:

1. Faster Patient Payments:

Automated triggers streamline stipend and reimbursement payments, expediting the process for patients while reducing the administrative burden on sites.

2. Improved Patient Experience:

The unified platform brings together all essential applications, supporting multiple payment methods and simplifying patient interactions.

3. Reduced Workload for Sites and Sponsors:

A centralized platform for Suvoda’s ePatient, eCOA, IRT, and eConsent tools enables site users to navigate between applications seamlessly, minimizing data reconciliation efforts and reducing the likelihood of errors.

4. Enhanced Privacy and Security:

A concrete security layer ensures that sensitive financial information remains confidential and protected from unauthorized access.

“Taking part in a clinical trial is often one of the most vulnerable moments in a patient’s life, said Jagath Wanninayake, CEO of Suvoda. The launch of ePatient moves us closer to fulfilling that mission.”

The rollout of Suvoda ePatient will take a phased approach, starting with patient payments, followed by appointment scheduling and reminders. The app will be available on both iOS and Android platforms. Early adopters will have access in June 2024, with general availability expected in 2025.
